Bach Week – January 21 to 25 (San Luis Obispo)

Bach Week is devoted to the performance and exploration of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries. Events range from chamber music performed on period instruments to the collaborative performance of large vocal and instrumental works by students and professionals.

Mushroom Discovery at SLO Botanical Garden – January 24 to 26 (San Luis Obispo)

Time to get some in-depth and hands-on training on mushroom identification! The SLO Botanical Garden is excited to welcome Christian Schwarz from Santa Cruz, co-author of the Mushrooms of the Redwood Coast, for an in-depth look at the diverse fungi found on the central coast.

The Very 1st Annual Beach Bash – 9a to 10:30p (Pismo Beach)

The Central Coast Square Dance Association presents the Very 1st Annual Beach Bash square, round, and line dance festival in Pismo Beach, CA. 

Grove to Boardwalk to Beach – 9:30a to 11:30a (Pismo Beach)

Join State Park Docents for an easy stroll along the boardwalk starting at the Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove. You’ll discuss the area’s history, Western Monarch Butterflies, Pismo clams, sand dollars and shorebirds as we identify some of the area’s plants and animals.

Tin City Tour – 11:30a to 4:30p (Paso Robles)

Gather friends and family to taste wine, beer & cider, or spirits in the flourishing Tin City region! Sip, savor and saunter in Paso’s newest tasting region. The tour bus leaves from downtown SLO for a round trip adventure.

Squid Dissection Saturdays – 1p to 2p (Pismo Beach)

Come to the Central Coast Aquarium for discovery. This event is available to all ages and will allow you to discover the internal and external anatomy of a squid.
