- Pismo Paw Fest – Sunday, April 14th 1p to 5p
Pismo Beach’s premier pet party hits the central coast. It will be taking place at Dinosaur Caves Park from 1-5pm. There will be live local music, “Yappy Hour” with local wine and beer, food trucks, Floppy Ear Flea Market, Pet look-alike contest, and so much more. A portion of proceeds will go to the Police K-9 Program and Woods Humane Society.
- Springtime Swingin’ – Friday, April 12th from 5:30p to 8:30p
AKA the Atascadero Art, Wine & Brew Tour. This is one of our favorite local events! Explore downtown Atascadero as over 24 downtown shops open their doors. Each participant is paired with a local winery or brewery with tastings just for you. You get a commemorative glass and for a ticket price of $20 this event is a steal. Drink responsibly and have a great time.
- Paso Robles Art In The Park – Friday, April 13th – 10a to 5p
Calling all our art lovers! Visit Paso Robles Downtown City Park this weekend. There will be over 140 Fine Artists and Craft Designers from 5 Western States showcasing their works. This even is the largest fine art show in the county of San Luis Obispo. Free Admission and Free Parking! Plus, the park is located in the heart of downtown and surrounded by restaurants and boutique wineries!
- La Fete du Pink – Friday, April 12: VIP 6p to 8p || Saturday, April 13: Noon (VIP) 1p (General) to 4p
Rosé all day! This the ultimate event for you rose lovers! There will be over 20 handpicked wineries for you to sip and discover! Bring your friends, picnic blankets, and sunglasses! Celebrate the great outdoors ! The San Luis Obispo Outdoor Discovery festival will have exhibits and demonstrations showcasing the many activities available in our County Parks. Bring the entire family! There will be live music, activities, guided hikes, DEER program challenge, and so much more. Plus, they will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Lopez Lake. - Children’s Day In The Plaza – Saturday, April 13th from 10a to 3p
Children’s Day in the Plaza is an annual celebration of April as Month of the Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month. The event aims to connect children and families with resources throughout SLO County while embracing creativity, diversity, and individuality. Bring the whole family to San Luis Obispo’s Mission Plaza for an engaging, hands-on day of visual, literary, and science activities.
- San Luis Obispo Walk to Defeat ALS – Saturday, April 13th from 9:30a to 1:30p
Participate in a family-friendly day of exercise, education, music, food, entertainment, prizes, giveaways, action and inspiration. The Walk to Defeat ALS is an opportunity to bring hope to people impacted by ALS, to raise money for treatments and a cure, and to come together in support of the ALS Community.
- 40th Annual Poly Royal Truck and Tractor Pull – Saturday, April 13th at 1p
The Cal Poly Tractor Pull Club will be hosting the 40th annual Poly Royal Truck and Tractor Pull. This event will take place on the Cal Poly Campus in the field across from the crops unit off of Mount Bishop St. Join the entire Mustang community at their open house! Festivities start with the Poly Royal Parade and continue all day with the Campus Showcase, featuring over 200 clubs and organizations. There will be a truck & tractor pull, Poly Royal Rodeo and Alumni Wine and Beer Garden (open to all 21 and over). Whether you’re a new or current student, family member, community member, or a returning alum, Cal Poly is excited to see you all out there.
- Annual Paso Robles Gem & Mineral Show – Saturday & Sunday, April 13-14, 2019, 10a to 5p
The Santa Lucia Rockhounds are proud to announce their 28th Annual Rockhound Roundup Gem, Mineral, & Jewelry Show at the Paso Robles Event Center. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 to adults and free to children & active duty military. There will be over 30 dealers selling a broad range of gems, minerals, fossils, crystals, geodes, meteorites, jade, jewelry, beads, lapidary rough, and much more. Take advantage of the door drawing, spin & win, silent auction, lapidary demonstrators, display cases, geode-cracking booth, gold-panning booth, rock-balancing booth, and kids activity booth.

MMM is going back to their old stomping grounds, Bang the Drum Brewery! This is a FREE, all ages event! Come by and enjoy a tasty cold beer, listen to live music, trying one of their interactive workshops, and supporting our beautiful community of local businesses! Stop by to support and find a special gift for you or your loved one.
- Pismo Beach I-Scream 5k – Saturday, April 13th from 9a to 11a
You scream. I scream. We all scream for ice cream. This is a fun event for the entire family and takes place on the sandy shores of Pismo Beach (on the beach just north of the pier). The I-Scream 5k and Kids run is an all-ages event that combines a little fitness with a whole lot of Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream at the finish line. The event will have a 5k for adults & children, and a fun run (non timed) for kids of varying distances based on age (.25-.75 miles). Come sweat your way to sweetness!
- Party for the Planet – Saturday, April 13th from 10a to 3p
Visit the Charles Paddock Zoo to celebrate our wonderful, Planet Earth! They will be hosting several conservation partners from around the county who will be sharing their work with our visitors. There will be activities for the kids, a craft station, temporary tattoo’s, a meet-and-greet with ambassador animals and more! All included with general admission.
- SLO Color Blast Fun Run – Sunday, April 14th from 8a to 12p
Get the family ready for the SLO Color Blast Fun Run. It’s a non-competitive 5k run/walk with a twist – the audience will be covering the runners in a multicolored array of special dust made of corn starch which is completely safe. Enjoy the colors of life!
- The 14th Annual Cambria Wild Flower Show – Saturday, April 13th from 12p to 5p || Sunday, April 14th from 10a to 4p
Have you ever wondered about the wildflowers, shrubs and trees you see flowering on your spring walks and drives on the central coast? You can have your wildflower questions answered by experts and view hundreds of bouquets of fresh wildflowers collected in northern San Luis Obispo County, labeled with botanical names and families along with common names. Helpful books and plant lists will be available for purchase to help you identify and enjoy wildflowers in their natural habitats. Enjoy great snacks at the Wildflower Cafe’. The event takes place at at the Cambria Veteran’s Memorial Building (1000 Main Street). FREE for students of all ages, $3 donation at the door for others.
- Tasting Easter and Passover Wines – Monday, April 15th, from 7p – 9p
Our favorites from Fossil Wine Bar will be hosting another great event. Discover what wines pair well with spring lamb, brisket, and other typical Easter and Passover fare! The class will be taught by the Goddess of Wine, Denise Lowe, as she provides some alternative choices to enhance your Easter or Passover feasts! Tasty treats from JD Bakes will accompany the wines, and be available for purchase. Must be 21 or older to attend. Reservations required due to limited space.
- Easter Island Trivia Night – Friday, April 12th from 7p to 10p
It’s time for trivia and tiki! Calwise will be serving up some delicious tropical libations and grub in celebration of Easter and Springtime. At Calwise Spirits, every day is a celebration of the California lifestyle. They craft all their spirits with the sunny and earthy flavors of the Golden State.
- 2nd Annual Plant Sale at Cuesta College – Saturday, April 13th from 10a to 2p
The Cuesta College Plant Science Department is hosting their Second Annual Plant Sale. The plant sale will be at the North County campus in front of the Fox Building. The vegetables and herb plants for sale were grown, nurtured, and cared for by Plant Science students in the Plant Propagation and Production class. The varieties were all started from seeds, cuttings, or bare roots and specially selected for their adaptation to the Central Coast region encompassing the coastal and inland areas. All proceeds go back towards the Plant Science Program at Cuesta College.
- Bristol’s Cider Trivia Night – Sunday, April 14th at 5p to 7:30p
EVERY 2nd & 4th Sundays of every month Bristol’s cider has Trivia Night! What makes this one special is its Heirloom Catering’s Pasta Pop Up ever! Come and enjoy delicious pasta! Bring your friends, make some teams, and compete in a game of wit! Prizes are up for grabs for the first-place team, and second place gets to choose a category for the following Trivia Night.
- Traffic Record Store 1st Year Anniversary -Saturday, April 13th from 10a to 6p
Join Traffic Records Store for their first ever Record Store Day Event. Traffic Record Store is proud to have been selected as an RSD authorized retail The Ernie Ball on site as a day of sponsor with raffle prizes and giveaways. Nelle Winery will also be on site as well as food vendors, guest DJs from Soul Dust Productions spinning all vinyl sets, a sidewalk sale and live screen printing by our friends at The ARTery will also be happening. *Insert powerful instrumental music here* Honestly, we are Game of Thrones fans! We are so excited that Season 8 is starting this Sunday but we are sad that there isn’t a formal SLOCAL event for it. But we can dream, right? If you’re like us, we will be partying it up on the couch this Sunday night.
