SLO Cocktail Month is around the corner! Learn more about the booziest month of the year and get one of our favorite easy summer time cocktail recipes below. Here’s a sip of what’s to come…
Cocktail Month will take place throughout September. Restaurants will be producing three cocktails using local spirits. The first pairing of distillery and restaurant will be selected at random while it’s bartenders’ choice for the other two cocktail concoctions. The restaurant and distillery teams will compete to produce the best cocktail – and the best part is that all of us get to do the judging!
Winners will be announced at their Grand Cocktail Event at the Paso Robles Fairground on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Don’t miss this event! There will be live music, cocktails, bartending demos and hors d’oeurves from participating restaurants.
Getting thirsty? No problem, we teamed up with our friend Beatrice Brow to give you this quick and easy summer cocktail recipe!
The “Hey Honey!”
1 ¼ oz Bourbon
1 oz Honey Simple Syrup
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Apple Puree
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Bourbon, honey simple syrup, fresh lemon juice and apple puree. Shake vigorously, and strain into a chilled glass filled with. Garnish with an apple slice.
(Tip: Bourbon and lemon juice can be replaced with Tequila and lime juice!)
