Wednesday, July 24th

The Central Coast Brewer’s Guild presents the Craft Beer Tasting and Awards Night! Taste local craft beer from a dozen of the counties BEST CRAFT BREWERIES

Join Festival artists for this special opening event in the picturesque setting of Halter Ranch Vineyard. Enjoy award-winning wines and appetizers, then take in an interactive concert presentation led by music director Scott Yoo. He will explore Ravel’s string quartet, a piece that exhibits the influence of his Basque heritage. Complete the evening with dinner under the stars by celebrated Central Coast Chef Jeffery Scott.

Thursday, July 25th

Central Coast Shakespeare Festival: July 25 to 28 (San Luis Obispo)

The Central Coast Shakespeare Festival is back and runs till August 3rd! Enjoy live outdoor theater at the historic Filipponi Ranch. Catch a performance of “Twelfth Night” or “Treasure Island.” New to live theater? Never read Shakespeare? Fear not! No matter which play (or both!) you choose to see, you’ll enjoy a great Central Coast summer evening with entertainment, food, wine, and friends in a beautiful outdoor setting. All ages and families are welcome. Bring your lawn chair, jacket and a blanket and get ready to sit back and enjoy Shakespeare and more under the stars.

Join FOUR of the best LOCAL food trucks for a fun, foodie night featuring the Cubanissimo Food Truck, Hungry Mother, Lidos & AR Catering at the always FUN BarrelHouse Brewery in TIN CITY.

Movies in the Garden – Space Jam: 7:30p to 10p (Cambria)

Cambria Pines Lodge presents Movies in the Garden every Thursday. This week they will be showing Space Jam. Bring the kiddos! This is a free event. Refreshments will be available to purchase.

Friday, July 26th

Festival-goers will be able to soak in 100-degree mineral water and camp out under the stars, enjoying the music from the pool at the hot springs, beginning at 4pm Friday until midnight, noon on Saturday until midnight, and Sunday until 6pm.

Food Truck Friday: 5p to 8p (San Luis Obispo)

Get ready to wind down the week with Food Truck Friday! Monterey St. Market teams up with the 805 Food Trucks! Here’s your chance to try their gourmet food for the first time in downtown SLO! Feed My Seoul Korean BBQ Fusion | Beau’s Dogs | AR Catering by Alex Reyes | Bing Bao Buns and more! Beer, wine, and cider will be available to enjoy while listening to local musician, Jack Milstead.

Parrish Family Vineyard Estate Chef Rachel Ponce and Director of Wine Experiences Vanessa Igel will lead any introductory class on wine and food pairing basics. The class will include a variety of fruits, spices, herbs, cheeses and chocolates that will be matched and mismatched with three Parrish wines. At the end of the class, it will be easy to tell what components go together and why.

Learn to fly, spin and make fun shapes on the Aerial Sphere at Levity® Academy, the Central Coast’s premier aerial silks and circus arts studio located in San Luis Obispo. These two-hour, all-levels workshops teach aerialists a full spectrum of aerial apparatus skills, from fundamentals to more advanced moves, complete with choreographed transitions. No experience necessary.

Sleep & Stress Wellness Workshop: 6p to 8:30p (Los Osos)

Come spend an evening learning about herbs to improve sleep and reduce the stress response, while relaxing with mini facials and wine. In this workshop, Dr. Anne Kennard will discuss herbal adaptogens and herbs for sleep and relaxation, and help each participant create a customized tea or tincture to take home. You’ll also be guided through a wine flight by {baker & brain} wines and receive skin assessments and mini facials by Fable Soap Co. You’ll leave relaxed, glowing, and with your customized remedy to live a better rested, well-balanced life.

A Flamenco Evening with Illeana Gomez: 7:30p to 9:30p (Nipomo)

Illeana Gomez studied the art of flamenco dancing in Madrid and Seville and has performed with various ensembles in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, New York, San Francisco, and Austin. Join her quartet, which includes guitar, percussion, and vocals, for an evening of flamenco dance and music under the stars at the historic Dana Adobe. Table seating is available or you may bring your own chair for general seating. Picnics are welcome. Beer, wine and snacks available for purchase.

Saturday, July 27th

Join violist Caitlin Lynch and fellow artists at the beautiful Dallidet Adobe for an exploration of this work and how it connects to Scarlatti’s piece. Then, enjoy a gourmet luncheon by Chef Tracy Labastida of Field to Table Catering on the Redwood Patio, complete with wines from Lone Madrone.

It’s official, July 2019 is the LAST MONTH Bang the Drum will live at its current location on 950 Orcutt Road. After 5 years they would like to honor the beautiful home they have all built together while it still stands. There will be 10 hours of live music, 2 hrs of dance music, 2 food trucks and a few local vendors. Because of the kindness of our musicians, this event is FREE. Please join them for this incredible and emotional send-off to these leaders of our community.

Back by popular demand for a second session! Join us to sip on wine and enjoy a cheese plate as our instructors lead you through painting your birdhouse and attaching moss and succulents to the roof.

Country Rodeo Finals: 7p to 9p (Paso Robles)

The Wrangler Country Rodeo presented by Hearst begins the second week of the 2019 California Mid-State Fair in the Chumash Grandstand Arena. This event is the culmination of hard work and stellar performances by our area’s best and brightest cowboys and cowgirls. In addition, rodeo fans will be treated with specialty acts throughout the performance, including the very exciting Dancing with Bulls competition produced by the Flying U Rodeo Company. Also featured will be Blind Man’s Bull Poker, Mutton Busting and rodeo clown Matt Merritt – the exclusive Entertainer of the PBR Velocity Tour.

Scott Yoo leads a program celebrating the baroque at the enchanting setting of Serra Chapel in Shandon, a private chapel built from historical artifacts and remnants from the Hearst Collection. The grounds open at 6 p.m. Bring a picnic, enjoy the views, and relax into an evening of resplendent music.

Sunday, July 28th

SLO Triathlon: 6a to 4p (San Luis Obispo)

It’s time for the SLO Triathalon which hosts over 1200 participants! Volunteer, support or participate on this special day. They will even have a Family Fun Event with Mighty Munchkins Playzone!

Berries, Jams and Pies Oh My!: 10a to 1p (Arroyo Grande)

Join us for a private tour of Talley Farms where we will go behind the scenes of their farming & produce packing operations. Learn what and how Talley Farms Fresh Harvest is growing some of the tastiest groceries in the county! Back at the packing shed you will join Barbara Hartley of Hartley Farms where you will discover how to take the season’s freshest berries and turn them into tasty jams & pies. All workshop materials, a jar of farm crafted jam and a tasty locally grown lunch is included.

Learn about cooking with sea greens and other marine delights. You will not only cook a variety of foods with seaweed but will learn about local varieties and the many health benefits of adding sea vegetables to your diet. Dinner will be at 6 pm, cooked by the class, cost $15.

Monster Trucks with Bikes and Bulls – 7p to 9p (Paso Robles)

This non-stop, action-packed evening of thrills will feature three monster trucks! Fans will have a chance to be a part of the up-close and personal pre-show “Pit Party” where they can walk into the arena and stand next to these mechanical giants, plus take part in the monster truck ride! They will also be treated to motocross featuring Pee Wee & Pros brought to you by Brett Butterfield and professional bull riding brought to you by Flying U Rodeo Company.
