Monday, May 27th 2019 – MEMORIAL DAY

1.  Paso Robles Cycling Festival – 8a to Noon
It’s time for the Paso Robles Cycling festival held on each Memorial Day Weekend! This is the longest running bicycle festival in the USA.  Featuring over 25 ride options and 4 days packed with on and off the bike activities this Cycling Festival has something for all types of cyclist and their families. There will be wine tasting, winery tours, beer, family fun, competitions, cycling vintage expo, food and MORE! This is the last day of the 4-day festival.

2.  Morro Bay Art in the Park  – 10a to 4p

This 64th annual show offers artists and crafts people a high quality outdoor setting to display and sell their wares to an appreciative audience. This is the finest display of handmade art and crafts presented in San Luis Obispo County with 108 booths representing 125 independent artists and craft workers.

3.  Antique Gas & Steam Engine Show – 10a to 5p
Enjoy this Cayucos tradition: The annual Memorial Day weekend Antique Gas & Steam Engine Show. Hear the sounds of running engines, chat with vendors about their history, learn from informational displays. This event is FREE and for all ages!

4.  Memorial Day Ceremony & BBQ Atascadero – Noon to 3p

The Atascadero Veterans Memorial Foundation will be hosting its annual “Faces of Freedom” Memorial Day Ceremony as San Luis Obispo County remembers and honors our Nation’s Fallen Heroes.  The one-hour ceremony will be held at the “Faces of Freedom” Veterans Memorial. There will be music and a community BBQ following the ceremony with food available for purchase.

5.  Memorial Day Live On The Rocks – 1p to 5p
Kick off your summer with sunshine, BBQ, refreshments, and most importantly…MUSIC. The Cliffs Hotel Memorial Day show features The Elovaters! Grab your blankets and a seat on the lawn for this family-friendly show, get ready to DANCE!

6.  Madonna Inn Salsa Night – 8:30p to 11p

This is a FREE event brought to you by CPSalsa’s training team, Sangre Nueva! Dance to your favorite salsa, cha cha cha, and bachata songs…maybe even a merengue. CPSalsa is a student-run organization dedicated to Salsa and Latin dancing. They encourage the local community to come out, dance, and learn to help us spread the love of Salsa!

7.  Concert For The Clams – 6p to 9p
Come support research on the Pismo Clam at 7SisterBrewing!  Entertainment will include: A short talk on the rise and fall (and rise?) of the Pismo Clam, Music by Allison Rice, Cabana Brazil, Surfeza, and BanjerDan, an auction and raffle, with amazing prizes!

8.  Festival of Flavor Los Osos – 5:30p to 7:30p

Savor tasty food and beverages provided by an amazing group of local restaurants at the Festival of Flavor. Many of our local favorites will be on hand at this food showcase being held. Tickets are available for purchase for $15 pre-sale, $20  at the door for all tastings. All beverages including wine and beer will be available for purchase during the event. Children under 13 are free.

9.  Italian Wine Tasting – 5:30p to 7:30p
Meet Sommelier Brian Cokas, from Free Run Juice Wine Company and indulge in some of Italy’s finest wines.  Chef Gisella will pair each wine with a sampling to enhance your wine tasting experience. 4 Wines plus food sampling, $15.95 per person. 

10.  805 Food Truck Night – 5:30p to 8:00p
The 805 Food Trucks are coming to Paso Robles BarrelHouse Brewing Co. Join FOUR of the best LOCAL food trucks for a fun, foodie night featuring the Cubanissimo Food Truck, Feed My Seoul, Lidos & AR Catering at the always FUN BarrelHouse Brewery in TIN CITY.

11.  33rd Annual Classic Car Show – May 31 – June 2
Each year, The Classic at Pismo Beach attracts people and cars from all over the United States. It is open to all makes and models of cars, and is free to the public. There is even more fun to be had at the surrounding attractions like shopping in downtown Pismo Beach, wineries located just miles up the coast, and more. Come join us for a wonderful event. It’s one you won’t want to miss!

12.  Folk-n-Soak 2019 – May 31 – June 2
Franklin Hot Springs, in Paso Robles, California, will host the fourth Spring Folk-n-Soak Music Festival. Festivalgoers will be able to soak in 100-degree mineral water and camp out under the stars, enjoying the music from the pool at the hot springs. Food will be available on site, including vegetarian and vegan offerings, so you don’t have to bring much more than a place to lay your head if you’re camping. Yoga class and Qi Gong will be held in the morning, and soaking happens all day and all night long!

13.  Bike Breakfast at The Guild – 7a to 9a
It’s the last day of Bike Month! Peak Racks and Bike SLO County are joining together to start off the last day with a bang! There will be tasty treats in the Eucalyptus grove at the back of SLO Guild Hall for all to enjoy.

14.  Misguided Fest – 6p to 10p
Two stages, one festival! There will be 8 bands across two venues with fresh sounds, warm pizza, cold beer (or soda pop for you young-ins), plenty of laughs, great hangs, positive vibes, and good people. This event is all ages and is $10 a person.

15.  Grand Opening Farmhouse Corner Market – 7a to 3p
Welcome Farmhouse Corner Market as they celebrate their Grand Opening! The market will offer freshly made grab and go items, including food and snacks for picnics and dinners. It will include a housemade ice cream counter, flower market and local artisan goods for sale. The restaurant will offer counter service dining for breakfast and lunch, with a family-style seated dinner. Farmhouse Corner Market is lead by executive chef Will Torres, a California School of Culinary Arts graduate and winner of Food & Wine’s “The Best Winery Restaurants in America” for The Restaurant at JUSTIN. There will be giveaways and live music by Shawn Clark Family Band.

16.  LIGHTHOUSE Atascadero 5k Benefit Fun Run/Walk and Family Day 2019 –  8a
The LIGHTHOUSE 5k Benefit Fun Run and Family Fun Day will feature an amazing race course for runners and walkers.  Participants may choose to run or walk this challenging 5k course through the vineyard.  There will be a kids 1/2 mile race following the finish of the 5k run as well as a 100 yard dash for those age 6 and under.  Enjoy the Family Activity Area: Bounce House, Face Painting, and Crafts.  Stay for the raffle prizes, Kiwanis pancake breakfast and rock out to music from DJ Guy Cooper. 

17.  4th Annual Cambria Rock Show – June 1 & 2 – 10a to 5p

Join us at the Cambria Vets Hall for the 4th Annual Cambria Rock Show. Vendors will be offering gems, minerals, fossils, crystals, jade, beads, and jewelry. There will be an amazing assortment of gem and mineral related items to explore. Free Admission. Food by “ The Pairing Knife.

18.  Waterfront Market Kick Off Weekend! – June 1 & 2 – 10a to 4p
Come and see what the Central Coast has to offer you. Find a one of a kind unique gift at the Waterfront Market. They have everything from soy candles, stitched & knitted goods, bath, body & skin care products, incense, locally made drinks and snacks, jewelry, the list goes on and on. This event is free to the public, family, and pet-friendly. The event will be held at 1001 Front Street on the Embarcadero located behind the Giovanni’s Fish Market.

19.  Paso Robles Wineries East Zoo To You Luau – June 1 & 2 – 11a to 3p

The Paso Robles Wineries of 46 East presents the first ever Zoo to You Luau Weekend Passport event! Enjoy a day of Luau Wine Tasting and Zoo to You animal ambassadors at all participating wineries. 100% of proceeds going to Zoo to You. Purchase your Passport for a $25 donation and use it as your ticket to Luau fun, complimentary tastings and Zoo to You animals at participating East side wineries all weekend long. Passports are $25 each!

20.  Greek Festival Madonna Inn – June 1 to 2 – Saturday 11a to 7p | Sunday 11a to 6p
The 12th annual San Luis Obispo Greek Festival will be held at its new location, Madonna Expo Center. Visit rain or shine, since the festival is now indoors! Admission and parking are free. Come share legendary food, dancing and music! This family-friendly event is a fundraiser for St. Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church. The festival menu will feature an array of authentic and traditional Greek dishes, prepared by using fresh ingredients from cherished family recipes. Wine, beer, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase.

21.  Makeshift Makers Market – June 1 to 2 – Saturday & Sunday – Noon to 5p
Kick off summer with this 2-day market-themed party hosted by Malene Wines! Check out an array of local vendors, live music and food trucks. This event is free and for all ages. Shop and enjoy a glass of rosé/coffee/craft soda. They will also have a film photobooth, braid bar, & henna available.

22.  SLO Grilled Cheese Festival – Noon to 4p
Calling all Cheese Lovers! Enjoy the first annual Grilled Cheese Festival in the Central Coast! Help taste test to determine “The Best Grilled Cheese of SLO”. Not only will there be mouth-watering grilled cheese recipes of all varieties, they will also have some of the best local wineries and breweries on site quenching your thirst! AND you will get all the warm, GOOEY feelings knowing you’re supporting an amazing local cause, Restorative Partners. Tickets start at $65 per person.

23.  Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival – Noon to 5p – SOLD OUT!

The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival is a benefit for the Pioneer Day Committee that brings in some of the best breweries in the world to Paso Robles.

24. Twilight on the Terrace – 5:30p to 8:30p
Twilight on the Terrace begins at sunset, at the iconic Hearst Castle. Sample outstanding wine and beer and tasty bites from 30 plus Central Coast providers, as the sun dramatically sets over the Pacific Ocean and sparkling stars illuminate the Castle gardens. Enjoy a glorious spring evening while strolling the Esplanade and the Main Terrace, or breath in the view overlooking the glorious Neptune Pool. Monies raised from this year’s Twilight on the Terrace fundraising event will support a vitally important endowment for art restoration and preservation at Hearst Castle, as well as incredible new youth programs.

25.  Art After Dark Paso Robles – 6p to 9p
Join Downtown Paso Robles for their free Art Walk every first Saturday of every month – Rain or Shine. Come out and support our local artists while enjoying boutique wineries, local shops, and restaurants!

26.  Bikes & Beauty:  Bike Prom – 6p to 9p
Join Bike SLO County as they bid a huge farewell to Bike Month 2019 at the San Luis Obispo Guild Hall. This year’s theme is “Bike Prom”, so dress up, bring a date, make a bikey corsage. Bikes and Beauty brings people from all over SLO County together to cheer on members of our local bike community as they strut their stuff on the runway in an always amazing array of hand-made DIY bike fashion. You’ll get to groove to the satisfying sounds of DJ Norm, enjoy tasty food from Mee Heng Low Noodle House, beer from Central Coast Brewing, wine from Peloton Cellars, Tablas Creek Vineyard and Diringer Estates, cocktails by T-Dubs, Whalebird Kombucha and deliciously sweet cupcakes from Linnaea’s Cafe. Entry is $5 and gets you one free drink ticket. Additional beverages and food are available for purchase with sales benefiting Bike SLO County.

27.  SLO GLO 5k – 6:30p to 10p

SLO GLO 5K is an exciting opportunity to run an illuminated course at night. Decked out in everything that glows, you will experience high-intensity UV lights illuminate the track as you complete a 5K route around Cal Poly’s campus. To top it off, end with a unique post-race event with local DJs, open conversations with the event sponsors, and a chance to celebrate with other racers who share a passion for the same cause. All net proceeds from this event will be donated to the 40 Prado Homeless Services. Tickets are $15 per person

28.  Art In The Park – Dinosaur Caves – 10a to 5p

Come visit over 60 local artists and craftspeople! Buy a gift for a friend or yourself, eat some great food, listen to fabulous music all while enjoying the view of the ocean!!

29.  The 32nd Annual Afternoon of Epicurean Delights – 11:30a to 3:30p
Each year the tranquil grounds of the Historic Chapman Estate are transformed into an elegant garden party. Guests are invited to stroll through the lovely gardens, marvel at the panoramic ocean views and lounge poolside, while tasting a wide array of delicious foods and beverages. There will be live music provided by local musicians, as well as an opportunity to bid on exciting silent auction items. Tickets are $125 each and are in support of the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo Health & Prevention Division, which provides invaluable medical, educational and advocacy services for families, women, men and youth throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.

30.  Pups ‘n Pints FUNdraiser – Noon to 4p
Join Pet Wants South County on the Dog Friendly Patio for great food, beer and fun!  Bring your dog and pour your best bud a yummy non-alcoholic dog beer and try some healthy pet treats too! There will be a dog photo booth with Cutest Dog Contest, wag bag prizes, and drink specials. Come Sip, Shop and Support Doggie Bonez Rescue!

31.  SLO County Small Batch Brewers Festival – 2p to 5p
Celebrate the SLO County’s Small Batch Brewers as they fundraise for Woods Humane Society! Sample beers and chat with the brewers from the county’s smallest, family-owned craft breweries. You’ll enjoy unlimited beer tastings in a souvenir tasting glass, small bites from local eateries, live music with O’Donna, and tours of the new hop farm at Hacienda Antigua Events. Best of all, all proceeds go to our wonderful local animal shelter, Woods Humane Society!

32.  16th Annual Pinot & Paella Festival – 2p to 5p

Join the Paso Pinot Producers for our 16th Annual event. Taste Pinot Noir from 20 Paso Robles producers, sample a dozen paellas from talented chefs & vote on your favorite, and enjoy live music by the Paso Wine Man Band. All occurs at the Templeton Park under the shade of the giant oak trees. Blankets and/or lawn chairs are welcome. All proceeds benefit local youth arts foundations.
