  4. May 15th – Ride of Silence 7pm meet @ Bike Kitchen
People all over the world will be riding in silence on this day to honor those who have been injured of killed on bikes. The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no registration fees. Ride begins at Bike Kitchen in SLO and aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. The ride is also a chance to show respect for and honor the lives of those who have been killed or injured.
  5. Friday, May 17th- Bike to Work Day!
Bike to Work Day is the biggest day in May celebrated at workplaces across SLO County! Multiple locations will host morning and evening stations for commuters with prizes and giveaways available.

Hope you all can get involved with SLO Bike Month! This is a fun event for the whole community. More fun events like: Pedal to Pizza, Pedal to Paella, Waffle Window and MORE on sloshift.org
