Easy Carintas Taco Recipe by Taqueria 805

These are the best central coast tacos we’ve eaten! Tony Quintero, from Taqueria 805 is going to show you how to make them at home! These tacos are perfect for any occasion! They are fast, easy, and sure to steal the show! This recipe serves 3-4 taco lovers!

🌮 Ingredients List:

1 pack of Corn Tortillas
1 pack of Trader Joe’s Traditional Carnitas
Bag of Limes
1 Bunch of Cilantro
2 Purple Onions (or any onion of choice)
1 Mango
1 Avocado
1 Package of Cherry Tomatos (or any tomato of choice)
1-2 Cucumbers (Optional)
Cooking oil
Salt & Pepper


Slice Cucumbers and top with salt – put to the side

Pico de Gallo Recipe:
1) Dice 2 Purple Onions – Make them “taco sized” (put some aside as topping and for guacamole)
2) Juice at least 4 limes (6 limes, even better)
3) Chop Cilantro (put aside for garnish – add a handful to Pico de Gallo for color)
4) Chop Tomatoes – “taco sized” (save some for side and for guacamole)
5) Add Chopped Mango
4) Add Salt & Pepper
5) Set aside – Pico de Gallo gets better if it has a chance to marinate. 3 hours or more if possible.

1) Mash 1 Avocado
2) Add purple onion
3) Add cherry tomatos
4) Add Salt & Pepper

1) Heat oil
2) Cook 1 package of Trader Joes Traditional Carnitas at medium heat – meat should be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
2) Warm tortillas using same surface you cooked carnitas – flip often
3) (Optional) Add oil to tortillas to keep them from drying out
4) Build your taco and enjoy!
