Mark your calendars for an exciting new event this fall! Downtown SLO is thrilled to announce the first-ever “Fall Fest: Cider, Beer, & Spirits Stroll,” set to take place on Sunday, September 29, 2024. This event promises to be a delightful blend of shopping, socializing, and savoring the best of local brews, ciders, and spirits, all while supporting a great cause.
Fall Fest invites attendees to explore the charming retailers and boutiques of downtown San Luis Obispo while sampling a curated selection of beverages and small bites from some of the region’s top breweries, cideries, distilleries, and restaurants. The event will run from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with live music adding to the festive atmosphere at various stops along the way.
Participants can look forward to tasting offerings from popular local spots such as 805 Beer, Central Coast Brewing, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, SLO Cider Co, and many more. The culinary experience will be complemented by small bites from renowned eateries like Novo Restaurant & Lounge and Baby Bear Biscuits.
The stroll will also feature performances by talented local musicians, including Jineanne Coderre, Jon Millsap, Kahonukai Boro, and Kenny Taylor, ensuring that every step of the event is filled with entertainment.
In addition to being a fun and flavorful experience, Fall Fest will serve as a fundraiser for the Friends of Downtown SLO, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Proceeds from the event’s silent auction will benefit Downtown SLO’s Clean & Safe Program, an initiative dedicated to creating a welcoming and hospitable environment in the heart of the city.
The silent auction, held at the Court Street Terrace Lounge, will feature items generously donated by downtown businesses and community partners. Attendees can enjoy the lounge’s comfortable setting, bid on unique items, take photos at Kramer Events’ Photo Booth, and soak in the live music.
The festivities will conclude with a special Terrace Reception from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Court Street Terrace. Here, attendees can place final bids on silent auction items, celebrate the evening’s successes, and enjoy the company of fellow festival-goers. Suzanne Schonig from The Krush 92.5 will emcee the closing reception, adding a lively touch to the evening.
