Are you ready to shop locally and sustainably? Mark your calendars for April 22nd, as SLO Public Market and SLO General Store are teaming up to bring you a day of fun-filled activities, including up to 50 local makers, live music, Earth Day workshops, and delicious food and drink.
But that’s not all! The event will also include a fundraiser to benefit the Central Coast Parks Association, a Bike to Market Incentive, and two exciting workshops hosted by local makers.
Mallory Wreden, the owner of Girlwholovesvintage, will host the first of many GWLV Recycle Parties from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Bring your own GWLV vessel or any vessel of your choice (your favorite mug, pot, etc.) up to 7oz and sign up on the GWLV website.
Lindsey Altman of Tied + True Goods will teach guests the art of Macrame with two bite-size macrame workshops. From 12:00 to 1:00 PM, you can learn to make a Driftwood Air Plant Hanger with an air plant to fit inside. From 2:00 to 3:00 PM, you can learn to make a Ceiling Plant Hanger with a pot to fit inside. Tickets for these workshops can be purchased on Eventbrite.
Live music will also be buzzing in the courtyard during the Market. Silk Ocean will perform from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Speaking of Roses will perform from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, and Mill Street Combo will perform from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
But the best part of all? By shopping locally and sustainably at this event, you’re helping to support small businesses in your community and reduce your carbon footprint. So, gather your friends and family and get ready to shop, learn, and have fun at SLO Public Market on April 22nd from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
