It’s Coming: The Central Coast Quilters, Stitchin’ Sisters, is having a boutique. It will be held at the Arroyo Grande Community Center on Friday, Oct.21st from 4:00 to 7:00 and Sat. Oct. 22nd from 9:00A.M.-3:00P.M.
There will be over 70 exquisite quilts for sale all thoughtfully made by our Stitchin’ Sisters. There are many different styles and representations from traditional to contemporary. All these treasures are uniquely handcrafted and thoughtfully made to represent a beautiful heirloom/keepsake.
There will be so many more handcrafted items made by guild members such as, wall arts and wall hangings, table runners in all styles, table topper squares with unique themes and focal points. So many gifts and gags for dog and cat lovers, dudes and chicks, kids and Seniors. We loved doing it all.
We will also have several quilts for auction. There will be the most fabulous constructed silent auction baskets of every genre you can think of. Also, a very “locals” inspired Quilt called “Wine Country” that you have to see. It has many illusions of inspirational colors that will inspire. Included in this opportunity drawing is a wine holder and bottle of the county’s most outstanding wine.
Much of the proceeds go to our philanthropic arm of the guild called Quilting Angels. The Angels make comfort quilts for adults, kids and babies in the community that could use a bit of joy. We made over 400 handmade quilts last year to pass out for these people in need. Some of the quilts were also given to other charitable organizations. They used those quilts to auction off and make profits for their own vision.
