Natural Dyeing Summer Camp

Remember when you woke up early during summer break and headed to day camp side to meet friends and learn how to tie knots and learn crafts. Well, there’s your chance to do it again and learn the art of Natural Dyeing and Herbal Crafts.

Learn the craft of Natural Dyeing with plant pigments and flowers on silk and Cotton. We will have 2 crafts with natural dyeing and then 1 craft with calming and healing herbs.
1. We will start with a bundle dye project. You will learn to naturally bundle dye a bandana, pillowcase, silk zippered purse or hat band with natural pigments.
2. Then, learn to print coreopsis and cosmos flowers onto a cotton zippered bag, cocktail napkins, or a pair of crew socks. You can add additional plant pigments to add more color if you like
3. Then, learn about calming herbs including rosemary, lavender and sage from Allison Lorne. She will guide you through making an eye pillow made from some herbs grown on the couleur de la vie property.

Herbal teas and a Black Market Cheese Charcuterie Cup will be included.
