San Simeon Hiking Series: Junge Ranch Trail

Join State Park Interpreters on a guided hike on the JungeRanch trail to explore a beautiful coastline and look at the different floraand fauna of the area. Enjoy a 2.0 mile walk through coastal bluff, grassland,and wetland areas located on the edge of the town of San Simeon. Learn about therich history of area and the human inhabitants who worked and lived in thisarea.

Meeting site: Meet at the trailhead, which is on Vistadel Mar street.

Materials: Wear closed toed sturdy shoes with goodtraction and dress in layers for the coast. Hiking poles are recommended foranyone needing extra stability the trail this program will cover is relativelyflat and considered easy to moderately strenuous. Bring water, camera, andbinoculars.
