Husband-and-wife duo Jon Carpenter and Ariette Armella, who are no strangers to the Central Coast distilling scene, have brought their latest labor of love to 114 Tank Farm Road. “While the restaurant’s inception brings us immense joy, it’s the essence of community that drives our spirit,” says Ariette. The couple believes in rebuilding the fabric of human connection, which seems to have frayed in recent times. Rambling Spirits aims to serve as a bridge, inviting people to engage, converse, and revel in the warmth of companionship.
The couple’s combined expertise is the beating heart behind this establishment. Jon’s decades in beverage creation is complemented beautifully by Ariette’s background in communications and photography. Their shared dream of creating a haven of elevated gastronomy and cocktails previously materialized in the form of the Rambling Spirits Workshop within the SLO Public Market. Now, their vision expands with the Bar & Grill.
Headlining the culinary team is the talented Chef Brenen Bonetti, a familiar name to many for his Grinning Bear food truck and his extensive 15-year journey through California’s culinary landscape. Chef Brenen passionately highlights the Central Coast’s ingredients, ensuring the menu is a culinary voyage through the region’s flavors. He pledges, “We will be paying homage to every element of our county – from the fiery grills, seafood of our coasts, to the deep aromas of our smoker.”
