Here is a list of subscription box programs! We will keep it ongoing so if you have a recommendation please use our contact form OR leave a comment below! Thank you!
Larder Meat Co
Larder Meat Co was started because they wanted to support small family farms, eat healthier meat, know exactly where it comes from, and put farm raised food at the center of all of our plates. Larder Meat has 4 different monthly subscription boxes filled with prime cuts of meat. Pick a box filled with dry aged steaks, bacon, chicken, sausage and know exactly where your meat comes from. If you prepay for three months you get a discount.
Talley Farms Fresh Harvest
Two different fruit and veggie filled boxes start at $25 and $30 per box. This ever changing fresh produce box is stuffed with whatever our local farms are currently harvesting. Each box comes with recipes to use all of the ingredients. Talley Farms delivers to over 70 convenient pick-up locations from Paso Robles to Goleta. Tally Farms will also deliver directly to your home or office throughout the Central Coast of California and Western United States.
Bread Bike
Bread Bike is a group of San Luis Obispo community members who subscribe to weekly or bi-weekly deliveries of bread to their homes or local pick-up locations. All bread are organic and made by hand and delivered by bike the same day. Outside of SLO? No problem! They’ve partnered with Blosser Urban Garden to provide our bread alongside their 100% organic veggie + fruit CSA boxes.
Heirloom Catering
You’ve probably heard about Heirloom about now. They’ve been one of our favorites since we moved to the central coast and their food is always on point. In the current situation, they’ve started to move towards pick-up boxes (in Paso Robles) of produce and home delivery for seniors. You’ll get veggies, assorted proteins, and dairy in your boxes as well as recipes and maybe even a few online cooking classes. Currently, the best way to sign up is to message them on Instagram at @heirloom46west.
SLO Veg
SLO Veg puts together an incredibly fresh box that start at $31 delivered to your home or a local pickup location. Choose the frequency of your box, it’ll be stuffed with fresh green produce from all around San Luis Obispo County as well as all the recipes you need to transform that produce into delicious meals.
Templeton Valley Farms
Templeton Valley Farms has a great Farmer’s Market Box that can be delivered to a pickup location in SLO or you can swing by their farm for pickups on Friday. Each box contains 8 – 10 season vegetables and fruits and you can even add on farm fresh eggs and honey.
Nature’s Touch
Nature’s Touch believes in supporting local farmers, organic farmers and the community. We have decided to put together a program similar to a CSA program. There are three different baskets available for a weekly pick-up. Each week these baskets will have a list of all the farmers used, a different recipe, and in-season produce.
Harvestly
Harvestly is run by Cal Poly students and they aim to build a more sustainable and healthy food system by connecting local vendors directly to consumers in San Luis Obispo County. You can pick your produce or purchase a subscription box. They offer home delivery and pick up!
J&R Natural Meats
J&R Meats launched our boxed meat subscription, Nourish, in November of 2019 and it has grown healthily. It is a monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly selection of grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, and free-range chicken, all local and sustainably raised.
