Ghouls, Goblins, and Covid 19! Are you looking for fun things to do this year in SLO County for Halloween with the family while keeping things safe?

Here’s a list of events and things to do this week, things you can do the week of Halloween, and things you can do the day of Halloween! Don’t forget to visit a LOCAL PUMPKIN PATCH.

Remember to wear your masks, socially distance, and wash your hands so we can all continue to enjoy SLO CAL together!

Friday, October 23rd

Halloween Extravaganza Weekend 1 – October 23 to 25 (Paso Robles)

Get ready for some serious pumpkin carving, scavenger hunts, and a resort wide trick-or-treating event. Don’t miss out on their epic costume contest with spook-tacular prizes for all ages.

Zombie Hunt at Gladiator Paint Ball Park – Oct 23, 30, & 31 (San Luis Obispo)

Get escorted through Zombie fields by an experienced Gladiator Guide to the “safe bus” where you will be entrusted with a “Zombie Annihilator Zapper filled with 125 Zombie Glowing Paintballs!

17 Strong Halloween Fundraiser – 4p to 8p (Pismo Beach)

Cape Cares presents their first ever Halloween Fundraiser in support of 17. Costumes are highly encouraged – but not required!!

DANA’s Halloween Bash – 5p to 10:30p (Nipomo)

Join Dana for a Halloween Bash including a costume march, trunk or treat, and socially distanced family friendly movie night of Pets United.

Grimm Reaper’s Scary Tales – October 23 to November 1st (Atascadero)

The Haunt in Atascadero is the longest-running and most popular haunted house in San Luis Obispo County.  Purchase tickets online a limited number will be sold in each 30 minute period starting for extra cleaning time between groups.

Nightmare on Main St. – October 23, 24, 29, 30, & 31 (Templeton)

Nightmare on Main Street, the Central Coast’s scariest haunted house, is back again for its 10th year! Located at 99 S. Main Street, Templeton in an abandoned 120 year old house.

Saturday, October 24th

Dia de Los Muertos Plate Class – 10a to 12p (Atascadero)

Create your own unique glass skull using pre-cut pieces of fusable glass that can be kept flat or slumped into a curved plate

Virtual 2020 Jazz Jubilee By The Sea – October 24 to 25 (ONLINE)

This year the Jazz Jubilee will be virtual. You can watch the festival from the Facebook page or from our Basin Street Regulars YouTube page.

 This documentary shines a light on Regenerative Agriculture. The evening includes a private screening of Kiss the Ground, followed by a panel discussion featuring local agricultural guest speakers.

Tuesday, October 27th

All About Trees: Multiartist Show in the DANA Cultural Center is back till next month. Go out and support your local art community.

Atascadero Recreation is hosting a virtual pumpkin carving contest. Prizes will be provided for the winners and a slideshow of all of the entries will be showcased on social media on Halloween Day!

Time to get creative!  FarmsteadEd is hosting an online virtual pumpkin carving contest. Enter by this Friday 10/29 to win. The Winner gets a festive FALL GIFT BUCKET filled with the season’s best bounty and will be announced in our next newsletter with a photo feature.

Central Coast Kenpo Karate will be hosting a Haunted House for the community. This is a fundraiser for an international karate camp next year for 20 students. There will be 2 types of haunted houses the first one will be semi Scary family-friendly for all ages and the second one will be high intensity scary.
