Wine Speak is back for its third year in 2020.  They will be presenting topics and insights from different perspectives on the wine industry. They have an amazing list of speakers from faraway places such Argentina, Spain and France, and MORE.

Special Seminar on Vineyard Economics in a Challenging Business Environment is part of IGGPRA’s Practical Grape Growing Series where growers, winemakers and wine industry professionals can find out how to deal with current industry issues.

Kyle Baca of Farmhouse Corner market will teach you how to preserve the natural way. He will be focusing on fermenting and discover how live foods come to life! In this pickling and fermentation class, you’ll learn everything you need to know about lactic fermentation techniques particularly around vegetables and touch on their beneficial effects on our bodies.

Blue Oyster Cult – 8p to 11p (San Luis Obispo)

Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band formed in Stony Brook, New York in 1967, perhaps best known for the singles ” The Reaper”, “Burnin’ for You”, “Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll”, and “Godzilla.” Blue Öyster Cult has sold more than 24 million records worldwide, including 7 million in the United States alone. They will be performing at The Fremont Theater in downtown SLO!

Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival – January 17 to 20 (Morro Bay)

Every January, hundreds of birders from all over the world visit Morro Bay, a Globally Important Bird Area, to see, photograph, and learn more about the thousands of birds migrating through the region. Over 200 species are usually sighted during this Festival weekend. 

5th Annual Tamale Festival! – January 17 to 18 (Atascadero)

Don’t miss this popular event! Atascadero’s 5th Annual Tamale Festival will be two days this year! January 17 & 18, will be a fun and exciting occasion for the whole family to attend, especially for anyone who loves tamales! The event is free to attend and enjoy the entertainment, but don’t forget to bring your wallet in order to purchase delicious food, activities, merchandise, and MORE!

Watercolor Moon Painting Workshop – 6p to 8p (San Luis Obispo)

This charming beginners class covers fun watercolor techniques that help you create a beautiful full moon composition. Then we practice our collaging skills with dried flowers, making a beautiful arrangement to add to your painting. 

Chef’s Table – Italiano – 7p to 9p (Atascadero)

This evening of “Italiano” was inspired by Chef Eric’s years of experience/training in Venice Italy and the loving heartfelt memories shared in the kitchen with his Italian step father Bob Garbarino. Makeshift Makers Market X SLO Brew Rock: New Year Kick Off! – January 18 to 19 (San Luis Obispo)

Come January 18th & 19th over 20 local vendors will be setting up shop at SLO Brew Rock. Join us for craft brews, good eats & local performances from Danté Marsh, Próxima Parada, Noach Tangeras Band and Bear Market Riot!⁣ Live donations will be taking place on stage across the weekend. SLO Brew Rock will donate 25% of food and beverage sales
to the Australian Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund.
