We encourage all Veterans and those living with disabilities to join us for our weekly VetSurf/Surf on Saturdays programs to share the camaraderie with like-minded brothers and sisters. Surfers and non-surfers are welcome, enjoy coffee and snacks on the beach or paddle out to share some waves with fellow Veterans. More info here.
3Pasta Making Class with Grandma Ingrid (Arroyo Grande) – March 26 – 9a – SOLD OUT
Grandma Ingrid has been making fresh pasta. Come learn hands-on how to make different styles of homemade pasta along with fillings and sauces that make the perfect meal. You’ll receive a packet with the all instructions/recipes for pasta, sauces, and even Grandma’s popular potato gnocchi recipe. SLO Public Market is honored to host the kick-off of Central Coast Coalition of Arts Leaders’ first-ever Spark the Arts festival! This three-month festival will reinvigorate local arts organizations as they return to live events after two tough years as performing arts businesses. 8Root & Bloom in the Wild Retreat (Nipomo) – March 27 at 11a – 2p
Women Making Waves is offering a 90-minute workshop with Nan Cole of @ForagerSLO. You’ll learn how to infuse oils with wild and cultivated native plants and turn them into a salve, using locally sourced beeswax. You’ll also get an intro to local native herbs and sustainable foraging techniques as well as a tea and dessert tasting from these harvests! At the end of this session, you’ll take home an infused oil and salve that you helped to create! More info here.
