Wow. Lots of new swanky hotels opening up in SLO County! With the holidays coming right around the corner it’s wonderful to have so many new spots for our visitors.

You’ve probably heard that there’s a new babe on the beach and her name is…Vespera. This beautiful beachfront hotel celebrates the lifestyle and beauty of the Central Coast. Not to mention it’s an Autograph Hotel. What is an “Autograph Hotel”? It’s a luxury hotel chain owned by Marriott International. Autograph hotels are not your typical hotel, they are all unique…just like an autograph. Get it?

Upon entering Vespera you’ll find a living room styled lobby with a cozy fireplace. In front you’ll find their wonderful restaurant, Sommerset Grill. Outside is an expansive pool deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a heated outdoor pool and outdoor event lawn where guests can unwind in front of one of the fire pits with a glass of wine.

The beachfront location offers direct boardwalk access within walking distance to
downtown Pismo Beach and is located just five minutes from Pismo Preserve’s hiking
and biking trails. With wine country, Ocean Dunes and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo all within 10-20 minutes of the property. Vespera on Ocean is the ideal home base for active travelers, wine lovers, and those seeking a mix of adventure and relaxation.

The vibe of the hotel is created by its open beach house-inspired design and views of the ocean. It has 124 guestrooms offering elegant, stylish interiors with relaxing coastal elements and oversized bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling showers, and premium bath products.

Most rooms have private balconies overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and all are equipped with a mini-fridge and a Lavazza espresso machine. Full kitchens are available in select suites.
The hotel is also pet friendly for those looking to bring their furry friends and has a 100%
smoke-free policy.
Are you here for business? No problem.
They have a state-of-the-art fitness facility and a high-tech business center to keep connected and healthy while on property. They also cater to corporate groups and event clientele with a 1,750 square foot ballroom which can accommodate up to 110 guests and can be divided into two separate rooms for more flexible space. There is even a boardroom available for smaller meetings of up to eight attendees in the hotel’s restaurant. Somerset Grill has a private dining room, which seats up to 16 guests. For larger events and weddings, the hotel also offers a beautiful 2,000 square foot lawn event space overlooking the beach.

When you wish upon a star…dreams do come true
Vespera means, “Evening Star.” so their tagline is “Where the stars meet the sea” and it could not be a more perfect match. Each room has coasters with views of the galaxy and a telescope so you too can enjoy the stars.

Not to mention, you can only imagine how happy I was that FINALLY one of these new hotels was dog-friendly! This visit was very special to us because Ghost could enjoy one of our adventures. From the moment we rolled up the staff gave our dog lots of cuddles and plenty of treats. Our room was situated at the bottom floor and from our patio door we could easily access outside and go to the beach for some fun.

I can’t thank the staff enough! People here love what they do and there is chemistry you can feel amongst them. Vespera is a fun, energetic, and a sparkling addition to Pismo Beach.

To all the staff, thank you for the amazing. Special shoutouts to Nancy, Sandy, Andrew, Kelly, Marcie, CJ, Corey, Max, and Renz. Can’t wait to come back!
