Introduction to Eco-Printing

Description: In this class, students will get an introduction (or expansion!) of natural dye skills.  We will work with a variety of dye materials to create a lovely, 8”x54” silk scarf.  We will explore the techniques of eco-printing and bundle dyeing to add natural color to our scarves.  We will also talk through the use of iron and tannins to create beautiful effects.  Students are encouraged to bring in their own flowers and leaves to play with, but plenty of supplies will be provided so feel free to show up empty handed!
