Zombie Invasion Run: Fundraiser for Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center
Camp San Luis Obispo is set to host a thrilling and family-friendly "Zombie Invasion" on October 18, 2025, with tickets available starting September 1, 2025. All proceeds will benefit Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center programs.
Camp San Luis Obispo will come alive with the excitement of the annual Zombie Invasion, welcoming participants of all ages for a day filled with fun, community, and charity. The morning kicks off with a 1-mile run for kids and families, followed by a relaxed, untimed 5K walk/run. Both
courses traverse paved and unpaved terrain, obstacles, and ward off zombies. Great visuals with zombies, survivors, and families, perfect for photo opportunities - media welcome to join!
Attendees may choose to participate as either Zombies or Survivors, or both! Zombies are encouraged to come dressed in full costume, or make use of on-site zombification services (old, ripped clothing recommended as it may be stained). Customizable flag systems ensure everyone can enjoy the experience according to their comfort level. Zombie Invasion will offer post-run activities in our Survivor Village, such as live music, food, drinks, a bounce house, and much more for families. Whether a spectator, runner, or dedicated zombie, there’s something for everyone.
The Zombie Invasion Run is more than a day of excitement and fighting off zombies. It also directly supports local programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, including Camp Expedition, social engagement initiatives, and training events, making a meaningful impact on the community.
