Palm Street Lunar New Year Block Party (San Luis Obispo) January 30 at 6p to 8:30p – Happening during Downtown SLO Farmers Market this year’s Lunar New Year celebration will usher in the Year of the Snake! SLO Chinatown Historic District will feature live performances, cultural activity booths, food for purchase, a movie screening and more! Mark your calendars for the Palm Street Block Party!

Lunar New Year Banquet Dinner (Paso Robles) – January 29 at 6p to 8p – ETTO and Sichuan Kitchen SLO are teaming up to host an amazing New Year Banquet dinner! Taste traditional Chinese flavors with local ingredients. Meet new friends and strengthen bonds with old friends. Get your tickets today!

SLO Asian Market New Year Celebration (San Luis Obispo) – Sunday, February 2nd at 1p – Corner of Monterey and Johnson. Check out SLO Asian Market’s annual Lunar New Year Celebration in collaboration with Nobu Hawaii BBQ. Special performance by the Cal Poly Lion Dance Team. Free food, face painting, shaved ice and so much more!

Cal Poly CSA New Year Banquet (San Luis Obispo) February 1 at 5p – CSA’s biggest event of the quarter is a banquet that commemorates the Lunar New Year and Chinese culture. It is organized and hosted entirely by CSA members and is open to anybody, including all Cal Poly students and community members. The night features performances from CSA’s own Lion Dance Team and Take Out Kidz dance group. We also showcase local performers and an annual play that is directed and performed by CSA members! Enjoy these performances while eating catered Chinese food and delicious treats!

Indies + Eats: The Search for General Tso (San Luis Obispo) – January 30 to February 2 – Enjoy a perfect pairing of dinner and a movie! Enjoy “The Search for General Tso” at the historic Palm Theatre, and then head next door for an exclusive three-course prix fixe dinner curated by Chef Ryan Fancher.

This mouthwateringly entertaining film travels the globe to unravel a captivating culinary mystery. Lunar New Year Tea & Qi Party (San Luis Obispo) – January 31 at 5:30p – Enjoy a Qi Gong practice to embody the energy of the incoming Yin Wood Snake year. It’s then followed by a free-flowing tea lounge, where guests can enjoy heart-centered conversations while sharing tea, an elixir known for fostering connection, presence, & tranquility.
