Bingo Loco First Timer’s Guide

🥳 Have you heard of Bingo Loco?

Chances are, you’ve seen this event promoted on social media or heard about it through word of mouth! It’s advertised as a rave-meets-bingo, and with photos and videos showcasing a sea of LED foam sticks and happy faces, it’s hard to miss. Touring throughout the U.S., Bingo Loco events usually sell out completely! Ticket prices are affordable, ranging from $37 for general admission to $75+ per person for a VIP table. I’ve attended four times in Los Angeles at different venues, and it’s one of my favorite events. Glad to see it’s now hit the central coast for the first time in San Luis Obispo! If you’re a first-timer and curious about what to expect, don’t worry—I won’t spoil the fun. But here are a few things to know before you go.

🦄Who Is This Event For?

  • Fans of karaoke, bingo, and dancing: If you love any combination of these, you’ll have the time of your life. Be warned—introverts, you might feel a little wiped out afterward!
  • Great for everyone 21+: I’ve seen everyone from their early 20s to their 50s and 60s. This event is perfect for anyone who wants to have a great time and still be home by 10 p.m.

📝 Know Before You Go

  1. Get your tickets early: Every event I’ve attended has sold out. There’s always someone in my group who waits too long and misses out. If you’re the ringleader, encourage everyone to buy tickets early so you can all enjoy the night together.
  2. Have your QR code ready before arriving: Bingo Loco sends your tickets in advance. Download your QR code ahead of time since some venues have spotty reception, making it tough to access your email at the door.
  3. No ins and outs: Some venues enforce a strict no-reentry policy. Make sure you bring everything you need with you! (Pro tip: Don’t leave your disco cowboy hat in the car like I did—lesson learned.)
  4. Arrive early for larger groups (Event times vary this is an example for a 6p-9p event) – Go early if you have a group larger than 3-4 people. The tables are set up just like the videos, and if you roll in with a large group, it will be difficult to get seating all together. Doors typically open at 5 p.m. I recommend getting there when doors open or between 5:30–5:45 p.m. if you are determined good seats with a large group. I took a group of 8 and arrived at 5:45 p.m., and it worked out, but the larger groups were already there saving seats. The crowd usually arrives between 6–6:15 p.m. The ticket says the show starts at 6:15, but honestly, I think it starts at 6:30p and they just say 6:15p so the show starts “on time”…but no really try to get there on time so we can play some BINGO! 🤣

🪩 What to Do Before You Go

  1. Eat beforehand: Bingo Loco doesn’t serve food. Since the event runs from 6–9 p.m., plan to eat an early or late dinner.
  2. Pre-game if you’re on a budget: Like most venues, the bar is where they make their money. If you’re trying to save, pre-game before heading in.

👠What to Wear

  • Wear whatever makes you happy (really) – I personally love to dress up and wear a crazy outfit but I typically see people dressing up in casual/comfy clothes to dance in. I do see people wear nightclub outfits if they have plans to go clubbing after. Everything is fair game at Bingo Loco. Be comfy, have fun and wear comfortable shoes! Of course adhere to the venue dress code if there is one.

🛍️ What to Bring

  1. Earplugs: I cannot tell you how loud it is at this event. No really…it’s loud AF to the point my sisters iPhone gave her a warning that the decibel level could make her deaf. Bring ear plugs or cross your fingers that the bathroom attendant sells some.
    • 🚨Secret Tip: Forgot earplugs? The foam baton they give you has a small circular cover at the end of it. You can remove it and use the foam to create makeshift earplugs. It’s not perfect, but it works in a pinch. You’re welcome (I have done this lol).
  2. A pen: Bingo Loco provides markers, but they’re not great. Avoid choosing a light marker color that is hard to see on paper (light blue, yellow, pale pink, etc.) — it will be hard to see when the lights are dim.

🪑Where to Sit

Aim for seats near the stage, ideally in the middle of the room. The center is where all the action happens, so you’ll want a good view and easy access to the fun. If you LOVE to dance and need space to do so, I’d recommend sitting at the edge or back of the room.

🍾 What to Do After the Event

The night wraps up at 9 p.m. From there, you can:

  • Head home and call it a night.
  • Extend the fun with a late dinner, bar-hopping, or clubbing.

📍 Is the Show the Same at Different Locations?

The format of Bingo Loco is pretty much the same across all locations, but the experience can vary slightly depending on the MC and DJ. They bring their own energy and vibe to the event, which might make you prefer one venue over another. If you love your first experience, it’s worth checking out the show at a different spot to see how it compares!

  1. Does everyone in your party have to be there to go in? We have a QR code for 4 people but one person won’t be able to be there until right before the show.

    1. When we went the QR codes were all different for our group of 4. So I just screenshotted them to our other party because they were late. You can also DM Bingo Loco, I know each venue and ticket location works differently. They are pretty responsive on their IG.
