#1 The Boydston House – Atascadero

One of our cherished holiday spots during Christmas has now unveiled a haunted house for all to relish! It’s back and bigger and better than ever!  They have live actors, tons of special effects, projections a 22’ tall gravedigger entrance, 10′ tall pumpkin, 6′ tall skeleton, multiple projection screens… and tons of candy on Halloween night. #2 The Haunted Forest (San Miguel)

Now in its third year and growing, the Haunted Forest in San Miguel has become a must-see Halloween destination for thrill-seekers on the Central Coast! This hidden gem promises a bone-chilling adventure through eerie, mysterious woods with live actors, a thrilling tractor ride, tasty concessions, and spooky movies. #3 The Haunt – Atascadero

Meet Dr. Frankenstein’s monsters in the haunted the depths of his forsaken laboratory, forgotten by the world but eternally bound to their creator’s dark legacy. This Halloween, the doors creak open, inviting the brave to witness the horrors that lurk within Dr. Frankenstein’s realm of monsters.

🔪 They are also offering a “Lights On” Group as an option for those who are afraid of the dark! The lights will be on for this guided tour. No monsters! 

🩸 They are also offering a “Night Terrors” experience! This haunt is extra terrifying. They turn out all of the lights and hand you a lantern. Great for those with a high scare tolerance.

#4 Nightmare from Main St – Paso Robles

The most spine-tingling haunted house experience on the Central Coast has returned! Within its ominous confines, you’ll encounter 6,000 square feet of pure terror, where thrills, chills, and the dreaded Vortex of Doom await your bravest steps. Brace yourself for a chilling journey like no other! It’s worth noting that Nightmare From Main Street isn’t just about scares; it’s also a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to give back to our local community.

#5 Brookshire Farm Night Maze – San Luis Obispo

Brookshire Farms will be hosting their Night Maze on October 18, 19, 25 & 26 from 7:30p to 10p. No ghouls but let your imagination run wild. Bring your flashlights. Tickets are $20: Get your tickets here!

#6 The Russo House – Atascadero

Mark Russo Jr. is bringing back his Spooktacular Lights & Sights. This Atascadero local goes all out to celebrate Halloween by decorating his home. Lights are on from about 7p to 10p beginning mid October through Halloween. Sadly, they are not having a theatrical experience this year but it’s still a great spot to celebrate the Halloween spirit and snag a family photo!  Address: 7720 Cortez Avenue near the Jim Green Trail. #7 SLO Elks Lodge: Annual Haunted House: Lost Souls Lodge

Join the Elks Lodge 322 for a spooktacular celebration on October 25 &26! Expect a spine-tingling Haunted House, daring Miner’s Maze, thrilling Carnival Games, a Bounce House, and plenty of candy and treats for all! This free event is open to the public, so grab your friends and come celebrate Halloween!

#9 Arroyo Grande Halloween Carnival & Maze (Arroyo Grande) 

The City of Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department presents the Halloween Carnival Chaos & Maze!!! This is a 2-day Halloween event at Elm Street Park (corner of Ash and Elm streets). Children of all ages and adults are invited to enjoy unlimited bounce-n-play (fees apply), carnival games for candy and toy prizes, food vendors, the haunted maze, and a costume contest.
